What Makes Raising Roots Behavior Guidance Unique:
My unique background and training has shaped my practice. I use a compassionate and client-centered approach that supports the child to communicate their needs and the parent in meeting their goals. Behavior is a way that children communicate their wants and needs, I want to support children in communicating their wants and needs in an alternative way that is suitable for the whole family. My goal is never to tell a caregiver the “right” way to parent because I don’t believe their is a right way! Instead I support the family as a whole meaning the caregiver determines what areas they want support with and what strategies feel right for them. Raising Roots –
Is Raising Roots Behavior Guidance right for you?
Raising Roots Behavior Guidance is designed for families of toddles and young children experiencing everyday behavioral challenges who are seeking early, parent-centered support. Check out our Services page to learn more about what we offer.
If your child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or requires intensive therapeutic services, I am happy to provide referrals to trusted providers in the area.
Is Raising Roots Early Intervention?
Raising Roots is not Early Intervention. Raising Roots is open to families of young children without a diagnosis and do not require eligibility criteria. Whereas Early-Intervention works directly with your child, our approach utilizes a parent-centered guidance model to provide you with the tools to manage daily overwhelm and challenges that appear. While our approach will work hands-on with your family, we will grow foundational skills in your child through guiding you to teach those skills!
Raising Roots provides flexible support that can complement or follow Early Intervention services.
